The National Association of
Women in Construction (NAWIC), established in 1955, is a professional association comprised of
women who work in all areas of the construction industry, from
tradeswomen to business owners. There are more than 140 chapters
nationwide, including Atlanta, as well as internationally.
To achieve NAWIC's core purpose of enhancing the success of women in the
construction industry, NAWIC provides construction education, service
and scholarship for its members, students and the construction industry
as a whole. Additionally, NAWIC's Atlanta
Chapter, chartered in 1961, offers educational programs for adults, such
as its blueprint reading course, as well as events that expose students
to the construction industry. NAWIC
Atlanta hosts monthly dinner meetings featuring speakers on a wide
range of topics. To learn more about NAWIC
