Benefits of Membership

I would like to introduce you to a unique organization, the National Association of Women in Construction (NAWIC). As a women actively employed in an important phase of the construction industry, you should be a member of NAWIC!

NAWIC members are women who hold diverse, responsible positions in a variety of construction related fields to include architecture, general contractors, subcontractors, engineers, material suppliers, construction news services and construction trade associations.

Since becoming a national organization in 1955, we have grown from 16 founding members to more than 5500 members throughout the United States. In addition, we have international ties with affiliates in New Zealand, Australia, South Africa (SAWiC)
and Canada (CAWIC).

  • NAWIC’s objective is to help you become more competent, efficient and better informed in the industry.
  • Widen your personal and professional horizons through local chapter programs and projects, regional conferences, a national convention and by taking advantage of continuing
    education programs.

  • Become better acquainted with the industry and your peers, more alert to your company’s needs and better prepared to meet those needs. Improve your professional competency
which can lead to company growth and profit. Open new channels of communication with other firms in the industry.
  • NAWIC Education Foundation (NEF) is committed to providing and promoting educational opportunities to the benefit of the construction industry.
